Day 6B – Returning Home

Like previous trips, we spent our last day relaxing and wandering around the village.  We checked out the ski shops, looking at new ski equipment and accessories that might make our future ski trips easier.

When it was time to leave for the airport, the shuttle picked us up and took us to the familiar log cabin terminal.

The flight home was on time and uneventful, and with that flight, we wrapped up another enjoyable ski trip.

Day 5B – More Skiing

Today the sun was shining and it was a beautiful day for skiing.  Nadine was feeling up to skiing another day, so we went out together.  Nadine spent the morning skiing several runs down Algonquin, while I alternated between skiing a run with her and skiing a more advanced run nearby.

Here is Nadine enjoying her time on the hill.

Feeling a bit tired, Nadine didn’t want to ski any more difficult runs today, so lunch at the Refuge was not an option today.  Therefore, we had lunch up top at the Grand Manitou before skiing a few more runs down Algonquin.

Here is a video of Nadine making her way down her new favourite run.

Day 4B – More Skiing

Today was another fantastic day for skiing, and I was on my own while Nadine relaxed in the village.  Skiing on my own, it was an opportunity to try out some new runs, and spend the day skiing mostly on advanced runs.

Again on the Versant Soleil, I have found a new favourite run at Mont Tremblant.  It is called Laurentienne.  I’ve marked it on the trail map below.

Laurentienne

Here are a couple of photos from the Laurentienne run.

The skiing today was challenging, as not every run is groomed every night. In particular, it seems that runs on the Versant Soleil are often not groomed, and today was one of those days, and it provided a very good workout.

I had lunch at the Trapper’s Refuge again, and continued skiing the Versant Soleil for the rest of the day, until taking one final run down the south side and back to the village.

Back at the hotel, seeing the crowds on the south side, I had to wonder why more people don’t ski the other sides of the mountain.  I don’t think I waited more than 30 seconds in a line all day on the Versant Soleil, but back by the gondola on the south, the crowds were pretty thick.
