On our final full day in Jasper, we didn\u2019t have any specific plans, the weather was still good, so we thought we\u2019d just relax around the resort.<\/p>\n

Below are some photos taken from in front of our cabin this morning.<\/p>\n

After breakfast, we went to the health club to relax around the pool, sit in the steam room, and do some swimming.<\/p>\n

We briefly went into town for lunch, and then drove out to see the Jasper tramway.<\/p>\n

For dinner, we had reservations at Cavell\u2019s at the Jasper Park Lodge.\u00a0 As part of my annual platinum benefits in the Fairmont President\u2019s Club program, I had a certificate for an authentically local food experience, which we chose to use in Jasper.\u00a0 We spoke with the chef the day prior regarding what they could prepare for us.\u00a0 It was a fabulous meal including many locally grown and raised favourites.\u00a0 Of course, I had to have the Alberta Prime Rib!<\/p>\n

On the way back from dinner, we had another surprise.\u00a0 As we were walking up to our cabin, a cow elk and her calf came bounding down the walkway and stopped in front of our door.<\/p>\n

After looking around in front of our cabin for a few minutes, they headed down the hill to the lake.<\/p>\n
