Our plan today was to head up the Banff Gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain.\u00a0 The weather was mostly overcast, but at least it wasn\u2019t raining!<\/p>\n

On the way out to the gondola, we passed a few elk having breakfast on someone\u2019s front lawn.\u00a0 Maybe if they kept their grass trimmed, this wouldn\u2019t happen!<\/p>\n

While there is a walking trail that zig-zags up the mountain, we thought we\u2019d take the gondola.<\/p>\n

Once at the top, we had breakfast in the cafe before exploring the area up top.<\/p>\n

From the building at the top of the gondola, we followed a boardwalk over to the next peak, which is the site of an old weather observatory station.<\/p>\n

After our trip up Sulphur Mountain, we explored the shops in Banff.<\/p>\n

We then returned to our hotel for a guided tour of the historic castle.\u00a0 We then headed back out to see some more sights.<\/p>\n
