After being dropped off at Pearson Airport, we checked in with Turkish Airlines, who will be operating most of our flights on this trip.<\/p>\n<p>We ate dinner at the Air Canada lounge, and shortly after 9 PM, we made our way down to the gate.<\/p>\n<p>Here is Nadine getting organized for the flight.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hodson.ca\/Travel\/wp-content\/pictures\/Mauritius2017\/Day01\/20170507_212708-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"329\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-2966\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We were offered a choice of refreshing welcome drinks soon after we were seated.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hodson.ca\/Travel\/wp-content\/pictures\/Mauritius2017\/Day01\/20170507_214456-576x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"576\" height=\"1024\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-2964\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I was impressed with the quality of food on Turkish Airlines, who had a chef on board to prepare the meals for our cabin.  From the appetizers to the dessert we were well fed.  I apologize for the redness in the photo below.
